I thought it was the same car at first. I got excited. Then I noticed differences.

YES. THE MALIBU.

Those are bad enough on an Escalade, but on a Malibu it is just a cry for help.

I’d love to see the structural reinforcements (or lack thereof) to accommodate the considerable unsprung weight.

It’s not called “help," it's called "Assistance Programs"

I was coming here to say "And where in Atlanta did you see this?" with some snark.

I have to be honest, Atlanta has some of the most well-made donks in the world. I really want to know which shop(s) are doing this, because they’re obviously extremely talented.

I'm kind of impressed and saddened anyone would put that much effort into that gen Malibu. What next, the Cruze?!

Probably exists. Just haven't seen it yet

Yeah. Definitely not my style but they do things right.

Top pic is mine. Was on either 85 South or 285 on the east side of town.

They are getting ready for orange crush and freakneck next year. lol

I'm gonna go with little to none. But maybe the parts they use for the extra lift are stronger/reinforced.

Are they bringing back freaknik? After all the drugs and violence I thought it was permanently banned

I didn't know it ever went away. I just knew you had to avoid Buckhead on certain weeks because you weren't going anywhere fast with all that booty shaking in your windshield. :D

Maybe it’s just because I’ve been in the South my whole life and there’s some regional pride, but I’ll take this all day long over any of that hellflush, stretch, tuck, and poke mess. This is like the Black American Dekotora.

Just looked it up. It’s been officially banned in Atlanta since 2010 but hasn’t been an issue since a few years before that.
Kinda like cars and coffee, people start acting like asshats and get it shut down for those having fun.
Between rapes, violence, drugs, and people shutting down the streets the cops intervened to the point everyone left to part elsewhere.

Sadly, we’re being infested by stance as well now.

I wonder how much we will be able to buy these for in about 5-10 years when the fad runs out. 1/2 of the price? 1/4 of the price? Also im sure they cant turn the front wheels without rubbing, or do they chop part of the fenders out to accommodate the massive wheels?

Dude I’m from Memphis and see this crap all the time. Donk culture and hellaflush both need to die.

You won't. They'll either be converted back or they'll be in a pull a part. Extreme suspension mods like that screws up all sorts of things or makes parts wear quicker.

I guess the Cruze will be far enough downstream in a year or so.
